Seven Great Free Webisites And Services That Almost Nobody Knows About

Have you ever wondered what Gmail, Hotmail, YouTube, ImageShack, and Flickr have in common? Aside from being popular, one-word sites (duh!), they have one thing in common: they're all FREE.

And we all love freebies, right?

But did you know that there are other smaller niche sites that offer interesting stuff as well? And what's more, most of them are 100% free. Okay, so not all of them are totally free; and some of those juicier features require a small fee, but who cares? There’s still something free in there; and by golly, we are going to search for them until we turn blue (hopefully it wouldn’t take that long) and find what we’re looking for.

Want to know what sites are worth looking at? Here are the top seven on our list:

1. Bloove.com
Have you ever wanted to synchronize your phone, restore and back up your data, and edit your contacts all without those nasty cables, bluetooth hardware, and infrared ports driving you insane? Then you should get Bloove. This is a web-based, free phone management system and mobile backup in one. What's more, the name's got a nice ring to it, which makes us love it even more.

2. IconWanted.com
Do you look icons? No--we're not talking about those so-called Hollywood schmucks who get paid a bazillion dollars just to look cute on the big screen. What we’re talking about here are free icons for your website; and if you like these kinds of things, then go to IconWanted.com. This is the world's first search engine that looks for great icons you can put on your site, and currently, they have around 14,000 icons for FREE. Yes, folks, they're free—and way, way, much better than watching Mariah Carey act in Glitter, doesn't it?

3. SideJobTrack.com
Give your inner accountant a break and use SideJobTrack.com to handle your financial transactions. This free service is specifically id eal for part-time contractors who need to create invoices for all their part-time gigs.

4. RememberTheMilk.com
Have you forgotten the milk--again?!? Never fear; Remember the Milk is here. This site is a free online scheduler, to-do list maker, and calendar in one. What's more, it can easily be integrated with your phone, PDA, iPad, and iPhone, so the list will always be with you like Master Yoda in that great movie…uhh…huh…argh…what’s that name again?

5. TwitBacks.com
Twitter fans will love this site. TwitBacks is a free background creator that lets you customize anything and everything in your Twitter account. Not only that, but you can merge your links to your other social network accounts and place it into your Twitter background as well.

6. HootSuite
Are you tired of being soooo popular online? Then you should try HootSuite. This is a new service that helps you to simultaneously work with all social networks (s uch as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, etc) in just one interface. Its basic services are free, but you need to pay $5.99 a month to use their advanced options.

7. MyClasses.org
Like Facebook, which first started as a social network in college, MyClasses.Org is learning social network, centered on on non-academic learning (things like yoga, for instance or dancing, horseriding, etc.). I Wear Tshirts For A Living

Jason Sadler previous worked for advertising agencies, sports organizations, and co-owned a web design company. His desire to start a home-based business inspired him to launch IWearYourShirt.com, a website giving businesses the opportunity to be promoted via social media. While services like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Ustream are accessible to everyone, it's not always easy for businesses to have content created for them or to find an audience waiting to consume that content.

IWearYourShirt.com takes the simplicity of wearing a T-shirt everyday and combines it with content creation and social media promotion on a daily basis. The site launched on January 1, 2009 with a unique pricing model. The cost of January 1st was set at $1, and each day thereafter the price increased by $1 until December 31, which was purchased for $365. When 2010 sold out in August of 2009, Jason knew he needed a new twist, so he added a second shirt wearer and doubled the pricing. Two people wore shirts for the same company each day in 2010. Jason created YouTube videos and Ustream live video shows, took photos, and shared information about daily companies through Facebook and Twitter. 2011 has continued the trend in pricing structure and amount of T-shirt wearers. 5 people are wearing T-shirts for a living this year, all for the same company each day and at $5 increasing per day.

Jason promotes his home-based business primarily through word-of-mouth, with the exception of using small text-ad placements in Peter Shankman's HARO emails. His customers range from small mom and pop businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Wearing shirts for a living for two years has been quite an achievement for Jason Sadler, but so has being nominated for multiple Social Media awards, being featured on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric and being called "the entrepreneur of the century" by Fox Business.

Jason and his four new hires consider working from home both challenging and exciting. Without a strict schedule, they aren't held down by working until certain times, and it gives them the freedom to spend time trying to grow a community that their clients can benefit from. Jason hopes IWearYourShirt.com will become a strong alternative to other forms of advertising and continue to deliver excellent value to its customers for a fraction of similar advertising costs.
