Police: Drunk Student Driving In Police Lot Thought He Was At College
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Authorities in Port St. Lucie said an intoxicated college student who decided to hand in a paper for a class instead ended up in their parking lot.
Police said Joseph Burzynski was weaving through the police parking lot full of cruisers and almost hit a sergeant. When asked what he was doing, Burzynski told authorities he thought he was at Indian River Community College.
The 19-year-old's blood-alcohol level was allegedly more than twice the level at which a person is determined to be too drunk to drive.
Burzynski was arrested on a DUI charge.
