Teen Girls Arrested After Cookie Money Stolen From Girl Scout

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Nine-year-old Gracie Smith was just trying to earn a Girl Scout Badge.

But after two teenage girls stole the money she collected from selling cookies, Smith got a lesson in crime and punishment.

Authorities said Smith was selling the cookies outside a supermarket Wednesday when the two teens stole $164 and drove off.

The teens, whose names were not released, were arrested. One is Smith's neighbor.

The state attorney's office will determine whether they will be charged.
